WHAT IS THE DUI EXPERIENCE?
|
The DUI Experience is a unique marketing program designed to help educate teenagers about te dangers of driving under te inflence through a hands-on experience. Using your go-karts and go-kart track, the DUI Experience uses specially designed goggles that simulate the effects of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Drivers wearing the goggles have reduced motor skills that result in the same dangerous driving conditions that happen when a drunk driver gets behing a wheel. This allows you to safely let teenagers who think they are invincible and able to beat any system, get behind the wheel of a vehicle, only to realize the actual dangers.
Scenarios are set up to explain to the kids about what would happen if they had been behind the wheel of a real automobile. Lost drivers' licenses, thousands of dollars in fines, family hardships, and potential deaths are all likely results of their actions of driving drunk. In addition, they get to take off their goggles and watch for themselves how badly their classmates drive and what risks they would have taken. Because of this "hands-on" approach, the kids walk away with a much better understanding of the dangers of driving under the influece.
